The 1997-1998
scouting year is now in full swing, and we've got pictures
to prove it!
Since the last update, the troop
has been on two great camping trips.
The trip to Okefenokee was a unique
experience. The boys had a great time speeding up and down the lake in
the fishing boats, and sometimes even had time to see alligators and other
wildlife. The highlight of the trip was the nightly raids by the raccoons.
(No Dallas, you can't trap a raccoon in a plastic garbage bag -- and what
would you do with him if you did catch him????)
Providence Canyon was wet and
muddy - the boys loved it! The weather cooperated and we managed to get
in four games of Capture the Flag. Judging by the muddy clothes, everyone
enjoyed themselves, including the adults who just couldn't resist playing
along in the game.
We were privileged to have a number
of Webelos from Pack 525 join us on each of these trips. The food was good.
It wasn't too cold. It didn't rain (much!). What more could you want?
Whether you are a scout or an
adults, if you've been missing these trips, you've been missing the fun.
Why not join us next month for our trip to the aircraft carrier Yorktown?
