About the Camping Committee

The Camping Committee meets at the Norcross United Methodist Church, on the same night as the Roundtable, the 3rd Tuseday of the month. This is a very short meeting, only 30 minutes long, from 6:50 PM to 7:20 PM. That way the members can go to the other Scouting meetings at 7:30 PM that night.

Each Troop in the Northeast District is asked to include a person from their Troop Committee whose responsibility is Camping, to be a member of the District Camping Committee. Most Troop Committees have a Troop Camping Chairman who already fullfill this role. This is a way we can serve the Troops, by strenghing the District camping program.

About our Scout Camps

We have some mighty fine Scout Camps in the area. You should visit them.
There will be more information about the camps as time goes on. This will include information like, which units went to which camp and when, and what is going to happen next year. We are going to help the Scout campers with a camp savings plan.
