Jean has been a missionary with the Board of Global Ministries since 1965 and has been supported by Kingswood for at least 25 years, possibly more. Currently in Mexico, she is serving as head of the English language department in a large Methodist school of approximately 2,600 students in grades Pre K-12. She is also President of the District Christian Education Commission for which she trains Sunday school teachers, procures curriculum and organizes “Encounters of the Children” for competition in sports, oratory, and Bible knowledge.

Volunteer opportunities: Jean brought a group of youth to Atlanta several years ago. Contact her about taking a group of Kingswood folks to Mexico!

Missionary to Panama, Rhett Thompson

Rhett is an ordained elder from the North Alabama annual Conference. As a missionary pastor he has been serving in Panama since 1985. Kingswood has sponsored him since 1997. He is the senior pastor of a church in Panama City, has oversight of two mission churches, and is also currently the Superintendent of the Panama City District. His church operates a childcare facility as an outreach to the community. He is also involved in family counseling focusing particularly on domestic violence. Bill and Louise McCahan have seen his church up close and in person. Ask them about it!

Prayer requests: For the new evangelistic outreach; for the continued ministry among the children of our inner city neighborhood through the preschool and daycare center.
