Walter "Pete" Wright

A biographical Sketch

This Page is under construction! I am currently collecting the information I need  to write a good biographical sketch of my "great-uncle Pete".

Walter Wright was born March 5th, 1918.

During World War II, he was Technical Sergeant, Walter "Pete" Wright of the 442 Squadron, 320th Bomb Group, 9th Air Force, U.S. ARMY AIR CORPS. He was the Turret Gunner on a Martin B-26 Marauder (Medium Bomber). He flew 50 missions in the war both in the North Africa campaign and in Italy.

Walter died at the age of 84 on February 2, 2003 at his home in Kankakee, Illinois
